Describing Leadership of Ordinary Individuals
This assignment allows you to examine the ethical aspects of leadership as you explore the behaviors of ordinary individuals placed in leadership roles.
Write a post about two “ordinary” individuals who played leadership roles. Answer the following questions in your post:
- What were the characteristics that allowed or motivated these individuals to take up the leadership opportunities?
- What roadblocks did the individuals face?
- What were the ethical dilemmas faced by the individuals?
Include interesting anecdotes and quotes in the article, duly cited.
Helpful tip: Since you will be constructing an academic argument that is supported by reliable, outside sources, you will likely have to pick people who have gained some recognition for their leadership roles. Consider using your local paper to discover community or clerical leaders who meet the criteria for this assignment.
