ETH 125 Week 5 Assignment Historical Report on Race 750- to 1,050-word paper
- Here is something personal I wanted to bring up. My grandfather was 95 years old when he passed away 5 years. He still lived on his own, drove, took care of his house, etc. Like I said he was 95 years old, he born in 1913. When I would go to visit on Sundays he would love to watch Tiger Woods golf. He would turn to me and say….watch that n*ger, he sure can golf. When he got sick, we had to take him to the hospital in an ambulance my sister in law was the only family member at his house when the ambulance came. There was African American paramedic who was helping transfer him to the hospital. Granddad was like, oh dear God…I have a N*ger transporting me. By this time, my brother (who is WV State Policeman) was at his house. He pulled the gentleman over to apologize for what Granddad was saying, and that Granddad was 95 years old. The gentleman was very nice, he stated he understood because Granddad was sick and because of his age.
The reason why I brought this up…it is just like Paula Deen. Should we as a society judge people because of their age and their upbringing?
